1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of taxule.com (the “site”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Taxule is a brand used by two separate firms:

• Taxule Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15403686), with its registered office at 809 Salisbury House, 29 Finsbury Circus, London EC2M 7AQ. Taxule Ltd provides our UK services and operates this site.
• Taxule CPA PLLC is a US professional limited liability company licensed as a CPA firm by the Montana Board of Public Accountants (firm licence PAC-FIRM-LIC-60504) and based in Kalispell, Montana. Taxule CPA PLLC provides our US services.

In these terms, “Taxule”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean whichever of these firms you are dealing with.

These terms cover the website only. If you become a client, your engagement letter sets out the terms of our services, names the firm acting for you, and takes priority over these terms on anything to do with those services.

2. Using the site

You may use the site for any lawful personal or business purpose. You must not:

• use the site in a way that breaks any law or regulation;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system;
• introduce malicious code, copy content in bulk by automated means, or disrupt the site;
• misuse our forms or booking tools, for example by submitting false details or spam.

3. No advice and no client relationship

The content on this site is general information. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice. It may not reflect your circumstances or the most recent changes in the law. Please read our Disclaimer.

Using the site, sending an enquiry or booking a call does not make you our client. We only act for you once an engagement letter has been signed and we have completed the identity and money laundering checks the law requires.

4. Enquiries and consultations

When you send an enquiry or book a consultation, please give accurate information. We will use your details to respond to your enquiry. We will only send you marketing if you have separately agreed to receive it.

Our free initial consultation is an introductory conversation. It is not advice you can rely on, and it is not an agreement to act for you. Fees are confirmed in writing in your engagement letter. Any figures shown on the site are a guide only.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, National Insurance numbers, UTRs or bank details through our website forms. How we handle your details is explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the site, including text, guides, design, logos, the Taxule name and branding, graphics and tools, is owned by or licensed to Taxule. You may view and print content for your own personal use and share links to it. You may not copy, republish, sell or commercially use our content, or remove any notices from it, without our written permission.

6. Tools and links from other providers

The site uses tools provided by other companies, including HubSpot for managing enquiries, and Google Analytics and Ahrefs for measuring how the site is used. It also links to other websites, such as HMRC and the IRS. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or availability, and a link does not mean we endorse the site it points to.

7. Availability and accuracy

We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate at the date each page is published. Tax law and practice change often, however, and we do not guarantee that the site will always be available, free from errors or up to date. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from being unable to use it, or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Our liability for paid services is set out in your engagement letter.

9. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies.

10. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the firm you are dealing with is established, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction:

• Taxule Ltd: the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
• Taxule CPA PLLC: the law of the State of Montana, USA.

If you have no dealings with a particular firm, the law of England and Wales applies, because Taxule Ltd operates the site. Nothing in this section removes any consumer protection rights you have under the law of the place where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. The version published when you use the site is the one that applies.
